this was Saturday the 24th April, 2010 coming up the drive to Hunterston

today is the AGM. Spring is in the air and the lambs are in the fields

this was Billy our piper finding a quiet corner and tuning up before the event
the flags were readied
Eoin and Robert our flag bearers were getting their kit set up

before the meeting we planted a tree to remember and give thanks for James Gordon Hunter o.r.h.
we set off on our remembrance parade
Gordon was a founder member of the Association and was recently taken from us
in the walled garden
it was a small, intimate and touching tribute
attended by his family and friends
the tree was planted
a nice spot had been selected and prepared and just on cue the sunshine broke through the mist
words were spoken
words were spoken by family, friends and colleagues
good times were remembered
the good times remembered and the stories retold
the flags were lowered
the flags were lowered as we said our goodbyes
we formed up

In September 2010 our neighbour Portencross Castle officially opened to visitors.
